By now, if you’re planning a New England wedding, you probably already know that this region is absolutely packed with beautiful, unique, creative & modern spaces to tie the knot. But you may not have guessed that there were so many awesome ones in the city of Cambridge alone! Whether you’re going for swanky and sophisticated or casual and relaxed, whether you want to say your vows in a garden oasis or facing the Boston skyline, whether you’re inviting just your closest family & friends or have a 150+ guest list, there’s a venue in this roundup of Cambridge wedding venues that can match your vision for your big day. Check them out!

Commonwealth Cambridge

Looking for casual, cozy, industrial vibes? You’ll find them here. This urban venue is amazing for so many reasons, one of them being its versatility. Commonwealth has plenty of character and charm on its own, but it’s also super easy to create the exact mood, aesthetic, and ambiance you want for your evening with your own florals and decor. And there are lots of different options for ways to utilize the space; you can choose the areas and layout that feel most natural and beautiful to you. Outdoor ceremony? Check. City skyline backdrop for sunset portraits? Check. Spacious dance floor? Check. Commonwealth has it all!

Built

If you’re looking for a truly unique and memorable venue to host your intimate wedding, that’s exactly what you’ll find at Built, a coworking space in the heart of the city. You can dress it up to your heart’s content with florals and decor, and their event team is SUPER accommodating—whatever kind of wedding you’re imagining, whatever unique details or amenities you need to make your night completely your own, they will work their magic and make it happen.

Plus, Built has a lovely garden patio, making it easy to spread out the events of your day between indoors & outdoors. Although you might not expect it, Built is actually one of the larger city-center Cambridge wedding venues, with space for up to 150 guests.

PAGU

Owned by renowned and accomplished chef Tracy Chang, and conveniently located on Mass Ave, PAGU is a fantastic space for an upscale yet relaxed event. You’ll get the chance to work closely with Tracy to customize every detail of the menu, the cocktails, and the overall flow of the night. And of course, you can instantly rest easy knowing the food and drinks will be absolutely top-notch. The venue also features a gorgeous patio, perfect for an on-site ceremony or cocktail hour.

A definite standout among Cambridge wedding venues, PAGU is a wholly modern and inventive space where you’ll get all the hands-on guidance and support you need to craft a celebration your guests will never forget. To top it all off, by booking your wedding at PAGU, you’ll also be supporting a local woman-owned business.

Multicultural Arts Center

Put plainly, every inch of Cambridge’s Multicultural Arts Center is gorgeous. A historic Victorian courthouse turned stunning event space, it’s so easy to fall in love with this venue’s unique interior features and details the moment you step inside. But, at the same time, it’s enough of a blank slate that you can really customize the design and decor of the space to fit your vision.

With marble floors, a balcony, and an intricate, ornate ceiling design, the Multicultural Arts Center gives that grand, elegant feel, while still feeling intimate, homey, and fun. You can hold your ceremony in the beautiful courtyard, which features a large arbor and has a more casual, charming feel to it. Then, invite your guests inside to take in the amazing Victorian architecture and get ready for the party of the century!

This is hands-down one of my favorite Cambridge wedding venues—it’s a must-see.

Kimpton Marlowe Hotel

If you want a wedding that has all the modern charm and sophistication of the surrounding city, but also one that you can easily infuse with your unique personality, the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel is the venue for you. This isn’t your average, standard hotel wedding venue. There are so many funky, artistic touches that make it perfect for couples who really want to defy the norm and stand out.

And just because the Kimpton Marlowe is an urban hotel, doesn’t mean you can’t have the lovely, relaxed outdoor ceremony you’ve always envisioned! There’s a small park right near the building where you can get married among the trees and flowers. (If you need help choosing the perfect floral accents for your big day, check out one of my favorite designers here!)

Glass House

With perhaps the most modern aesthetic out of all the Cambridge wedding venues on this list, the Glass House is an incredibly unique place to have your special day. The open-air plaza is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony or a fun, lively cocktail hour. The interior design, complete with plenty of artwork, funky patterns, and of course, glass walls that create a really open, inviting vibe, has won multiple awards and is guaranteed to wow your guests. Not to mention, the food is incredible. Seriously, don’t skip the Glass House in your venue search.

Cambridge Boat Club

A historic waterfront venue, the Cambridge Boat Club is a fun, casual setting for a magical and memorable wedding. It’s a very versatile space that’s easy to customize. Flowers, lights, and other decor items can really enhance the already-charming look and feel of the club room, and make it feel anything but cookie-cutter. (This is especially true if you have the right wedding planner by your side—read about one of my favorites in the area here!) There’s a gorgeous fireplace inside, which can help to create a warm, intimate environment for your reception, and for outdoor event space, there’s a large porch that overlooks the Charles River. What more could you ask for?
