The venue is a completely restored antique horse barn moved from the Mt. Holyoke campus in South Hadley to Haydenville, MA, according to Shannon Moineau, Event Coordinator & Social Media Manager. “Our owner Suzy had a vision for the barn, and has turned it into a beautiful space for weddings,” Shannon explained. The charming and luxurious aesthetic of the barn cannot be overstated. Every inch of the property, from the cozy-yet-spacious bridal suite (also known as the Love Nest—how adorable is that?!) to the sweeping farm grounds, is simply jaw-dropping!

In addition to a visual style & design aesthetic unmatched by any other venue in New England, Valley View Farm is one-of-a-kind in other ways, too. “We are unique because we offer planning services with all our weddings, have two Belgian draft horses who love to be in photos, and brew our own hard cider from our apples grown on the farm,” Shannon explained. If you and your partner are both animal lovers and hard cider lovers, it’s pretty much a no-brainer to get married here. And let’s be real—who *wouldn’t* want the chance to get up close and personal with two sweet, gentle, lovable horses on their wedding day?!
Because delicious home-brewed hard cider is a core component of the Valley View Farm wedding experience, you’d of course expect the venue to have a pretty cool bar. Well, I’m here to tell you that what you’ll find inside will blow your expectations out of the water. With a custom-built walnut bar and a beautiful leather couch, the Cider Bar is a room you can’t skip for photos.

Shannon and her team are as warm and inviting as the venue itself, and they’re dedicated to creating an amazing, customized, stress-free experience for you from the moment you first step onto the grounds. Said Shannon, “Our couples love how personalized their wedding day is and how close they get with their planners.We stay very connected to our clients and often have them visit. It is all one big farm family!”
She went on to say, “My favorite part of the job is interacting with all guests on their wedding day and making sure there needs are met and exceeded. I also really love taking couples out to first look photographs. It is such a sweet moment.”
